AVI-8 Transatlantic Air Race Event

Redd Retail Group had the pleasure of producing and installing the display furniture for a special event hosted by AVI-8 at Brooklands Museum.

The commemorative event celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Daily Mail Transatlantic Air Race and the restoration of the Harrier XV741.

With less than two weeks to create the event, Redd worked with AVI-8 to design and develop aviation inspired furniture that reflected the brands aesthetic and provide a unique space to showcase the new collection.

The visually impressive display area, complete with a graphic model of the XV741, was designed to catch the guest’s attention and draw them to the timepieces displayed in the counter and podium.

The heart-warming highlight of the event was when the guest of honour, Tom Lecky-Thompson, was gifted one of only 300 AVI-8 limited-edition Blue Nylon Retrograde Chronographs as a token of the brand’s appreciation and respect for his achievements.

Mr Lecky-Thompson, a retired RAF Pilot and Squadron Leader, flew the Harrier XV741 and won the Transatlantic Air Race in 1969.

Redd Retail Group was overjoyed to be part of such a special event.
